Desktop Snapshots

Use of Desktop Snapshots

Snapshots allow you to back up your virtual machine and restore it conveniently.

For example, if you're carrying out an upgrade that could break your system, you can stop your virtual machine and take a snapshot beforehand.

If the upgrade is successful, you can delete the snapshot. If not, you can restore the machine to its previous state.

Snapshots are available for all DaDesktop types, so Fresh Start, Trainer, Participant, and Standalone machines can all use snapshots.

Please note that when you restore a snapshot, the machine will be shut down, ready to be restarted.

Selecting Snapshots

Here's how to take a snapshot. Give it a clear, descriptive label so you know when it was taken.

You can configure the number of snapshots to keep and the frequency of new snapshots here.
