PC Farm (Bare metal)

In addition to a cloud solution, DaDesktop can give you access to bare metal physical desktops or servers.

This setup is designed for scenarios where each participant has their own physical machine, and it has been employed in the following use cases, where participants require access to:

1. the entire server without virtualisation due to performance or licensing reasons (ONAP, OpenStack)
2. devices that cannot be virtualised (such as certain GPUs, Mellanox cards where firmware-related changes are part of the course, other network equipment, etc.)

Furthermore, this solution can be used with an existing physical classroom with minimal modifications. This allows the trainer to set up the classroom without needing to be physically present.

The Cloud Desktop used in the cloud can be directly deployed to participants' physical machines.

Requirement for onsite deployment

This solution requires the purchase of physical control cables (called ddnexus) at a cost of around 100 USD each per desktop.
