GPU support
DaDesktop can support GPU in two ways:
- Physical GPU pass-through (available only in certain data centres in the UK). This provides full hardware acceleration as it uses a real graphics card
- GPU simulation via LLVM Pipe. This works perfectly using any of our Linux distributions, e.g. Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04. However, it does not currently work on Windows 10.
If you're not sure whether your desired application needs a GPU (e.g. Blender does), you may come across a message like this:
"A graphics card and driver with support for OpenGL 3.3 or higher is required. Install the latest driver for your graphics card might resolve the issue"
