Managing Operating System Templates

OS Template Naming Convention

We only use lowercase and dashes in template names.
This naming convention must be followed to ensure the application can classify and sort the templates properly.

<os>

Do not use a dash in the <os> part.

<key><number> 

Examples:
centos8
debian12
win10
ubuntu2404
ubuntu2204

<template>

<os>-template-v<number>

Examples:
debian12-template-v21
ubuntu2204-template-v17
kali-template-v2

<dd4w>

dd4w-tpl-lxc-<os>-v<number>
dd4w-tpl-kvm-<os>-v<number>

Examples:
Must start with 'dd4w-'
Examples:
dd4w-tpl-kvm-win10-v5
dd4w-tpl-lxc-ubuntu2204-v2

Distribution

In this section, you can copy, remove, or compare all OS templates available in your cloud. Please bear in mind that transferring a large number of templates can affect your server's network and overall experience. You should ideally perform copy operations outside of working hours.
 

Batch Deletion of OS Templates

A recently introduced feature that enables the batch deletion of templates from multiple servers at once. This was previously a tedious and time-consuming task but is now very quick and easy.

• Simply select a server that contains the template you need, then choose 'Remove from .. ' (the 'Remove' option is for removing a single template at a time)
• A list showing only the servers that contain this specific template is displayed
• Tick the servers from which you wish to delete the template
• Press 'Submit' and confirm the action to delete the templates
