Using Desktop as a Chrome Application

A common frustration when running desktop in a browser tab is that certain shortcut keys (such as ctr+W or ctr+F4) get captured by the browser itself.

A straightforward workaround is to set up an application using Chrome (or any Chromium-based) browser.

1. Head to More Tools → Create shortcut on your computer desktop

2. When creating the shortcut, tick the "Open as window" option
